Our Commitment

Arkema is committed to providing an accessible digital experience for all users, including people with disabilities. We recognize the importance of ensuring digital content is accessible to everyone and are continuously working to improve the accessibility of the Arkema China Customer Portal (My Arkema).

We believe that digital accessibility is not only a legal and ethical obligation, but also an essential part of better serving our diverse customer base.

Standards Applied

This Portal is designed and developed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is a globally recognized standard for digital accessibility, covering four core principles:

• Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive
• Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable
• Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable
• Robust: Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies

Accessibility Features of This Portal

We have implemented the following measures in the design and development of this Portal to enhance accessibility:

• Semantic Structure: Use of semantic HTML tags (such as nav, main, article, section) to ensure screen readers can accurately interpret page structure
• Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements support keyboard operation, allowing users to complete key functions without a mouse
• Text Alternatives: Meaningful alternative text (alt attributes) provided for all meaningful images; decorative images marked with empty alt
• Color Contrast: Sufficient color contrast between text and background, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
• Focus Indicators: Clear keyboard focus indicators for all operable elements
• Form Labels: All form input fields have associated labels to ensure correct identification by assistive technologies
• Language Attributes: Pages use correct lang attributes with zh-CN and en-US support
• Responsive Design: The Portal adapts to different screen sizes and devices, supporting zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality

Known Limitations

Despite our continuous efforts to improve the accessibility experience, the Portal may have the following limitations:

• Some third-party embedded content may not fully conform to accessibility standards
• Some PDF documents within the Portal may not be optimized for screen readers
• Some older static content may not have undergone the latest accessibility review
• Some complex interactive features (such as data table sorting and filtering) may require additional assistive technology support

This Portal has been tested with the following assistive technology and browser combinations:

• NVDA Screen Reader + Google Chrome / Mozilla Firefox (Windows)
• VoiceOver + Safari (macOS / iOS)
